This week was ridiculous and fantastic. Once again I was reminded you always have to look at the bright side and accept things happen for a reason.
It all started Monday evening when I made my 'vision board'. After hitting the Dollar Store for a cork board, I printed off a bunch of pictures of things that I want in life. Mostly materialistic and monetary, but that's fine by me. I had no idea what power it would have once it was up on my wall.
Tuesday came...played some squash, did a workout, went to work, relaxed in the evening. A typical day.
Wednesday however was not a typical day. Putting it politely, work did not go well. On top of having the most horrible web conference ever and dealing with email issues from hell, my pc died. I was completely unproductive and totally freaked out. I just wanted to go home, so I did.
Thursday...I was not looking forward to work. I skipped the gym and laid in bed for as long as I could. But when I got to work, there was a surprise for me. My boss was going to order me a laptop. I couldn't have been happier. Not only had I put a picture of a laptop on my vision board (not ever 48 hours before!!), but I had been thinking about having the ability to work from home for a couple days also. The universe listened and gave me my wish. It was wrapped up in the worse day I've had in a while, but it was worth it, of course.
Then, just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, I was invited to a fabulous dinner party at my neighbours house. We had a delicious salmon entree with baked tomoatos and aparagus with hollandaise sauce. And wine. Then came the kicker. Nicolle gave me her laptop case. It's made to look like an oversized purse and it's red!! Perfectly girlie and stylish! I almost cried. It was slightly pathetic. But I love it!!
